Triston Harper is saying howdy to fatherhood at age 17.
The American Idol alum became dad after he and his wife Paris Reed of less than a year welcomed their first baby together, according to his family.
"Everybody my Grand Baby has made her Grand Entrance," Triston's mom Hattie M. Sullivan announced on Facebook June 23. "Weighing a solid 6lbs and 6 ounces, Brenley Lichelle Harper has now arrived on the scene and she ain’t here to play."
The matriarch added of her granddaughter, "She’s already in boss mode!!!!! Feed me, Change me, Cut that bright light out. Yes ma’am whatever you want G MA is gonna make it happen!"
Triston—who competed on the season 22 of American Idol last year—announced his marriage to Paris in November, changing his Facebook relationship status with a cheeky caption to fans, reading, "[I've] got big news harpies."
Two days later, Triston's mom revealed that the country singer's new wife was pregnant.
"Now Everybody has congratulated me on Triston and Paris getting married but to me that is old news," Hattie wrote on Facebook, sharing a photo of the newlyweds holding a positive pregnancy test. "Now I’m bout to be a 'G Ma.'"
On Mother's Day in May, Triston shared a photo of a then-pregnant Paris wearing a pink dress at their baby's Western-themed sex reveal party. He also posted a snapshot of himself and Hattie on the set of American Idol.
"I want to wish a happy Mother’s Day," Triston wrote in the caption, "to these two beautiful women."
The post came one year after his elimination from American Idol, on which he placed in the Top 5. According to Hattie, she was proud of how Triston handled himself on the show since he's always been "very mature for his age."
"I just let him be him and I let him spread his wings," she told AL.com in June 2024. "This is what he’s gonna be doing the rest of his life, so he needs to get a feel of it without mama being there to make every decision.”
