Big Time Rush's James Maslow Engaged to Caitlin Spears

James Maslow has been upgraded from boyfriend.

The Big Time Rush singer proposed to longtime love Caitlin Spears while vacationing on the Amalfi Coast in Italy.

Dressed in a navy suit, the Nickelodeon alum got down on one knee on the Hotel Cetus balcony and popped the question to the certified health coach, who wore white, linen maxi dress.

As they shared in a joint Instagram post May 14, "Forever sounds good with you.” 

And for James, he's been planning for this moment for forever.

"I wanted this moment to be 100 percent about Caitlin," he told Us Weekly in an interview published  May 14, "so I booked a trip to the Amalfi Coast for just us, told (almost) nobody, and enlisted the help of a random hotel and a few other Italian strangers to pull off a pretty amazing and romantic moment, if I do say so myself."

His fiancée would agree. "It was truly a breathtaking moment and one of the most magical moments of my life. He did good," a "shocked" Caitlin shared, "very good!"

Very good, indeed. Just ask his bandmates. While Carlos PenaVega wrote, "Congrats" with a slew of emojis, Kendall Schmidt commented, “Brings tears to my eyes! Love you two!"

This relationship milestone comes six years after James and Caitlin took their relationship worldwide. In fact, to celebrate the couple’s first anniversary, James shared a heartwarming tribute to his partner.

“V lucky to be stuck with this one during this crazy quarantine time,” he captioned an Instagram selfie with Caitlin in April 2020. "ALSO we’ve made it a year!”

“Happy anniversary beautiful girl,” he continued. “Cheers to many more adventures EVEN IF the majority of them are going to be walks to the backyard and then running back to the house in fear when we hear a neighbor cough."

Their next adventure? Planning a trip down the aisle.
