Tammy Slaton has one hell of a support system.
In an exclusive sneak peek at the Feb. 14 episode of TLC's 1000-Lb. Sisters, Tammy can't help but smile as she's on the brink of breaking some big news to those closest to her. She reveals in a confessional, "Today's the day I get to confess to my family that I got approved for weight loss surgery."
From her rehab facility, Tammy rounds up the whole gang and calls her brother Chris and sisters Amy, Amanda and Misty on Facetime.
"I got good news," Tammy tells the assembled crew. "Dr. Smith gave his initials and approved my motherf--king surgery."
Tammy's family is noticeably stunned, with Amy blurting out, "What the f--k?"
Chris, who is on the video call alongside his wife Brittany, says, "Bitch, you lyin'. Hell yeah, Tammy. That's the best s--t I've heard all year."
Amy, joined by her husband Michael and son Gage on the call, eventually processes the news and tells her sister, "We told you you're strong enough to do it."
Tammy's journey to this point has been filled with many highs and lows, with multiple health scares along the way—and nobody knows that better than her sister Amy.
"I'm so relieved that Tammy got approved for weight loss surgery," Amy says in a separate confessional. "Honestly, after her past failures, I really didn't think she could do it. But she proved me wrong."
Amy—who was approved for her own gastric bypass surgery in 2019 and has lost over 100 pounds since—is more than optimistic about the next steps in Tammy's journey.
"I hope she feels like she's not left behind no more," she says. "Because she's probably going to exceed my ass and I'm grateful for it. There ain't no hard feelings on my part if she does."
Amy, of course, will also be there every step of the way. As she gushes, "We're just gonna go from 1000 pound sisters to sexy sisters, bitches."
