Robert Pattinson isn't here for this social media trend.
In a new interview, the Batman star discussed his feelings about the deep fakes of himself that exist on the internet, admitting that he wasn't at all a fan of the digitally altered videos.
"It's terrifying," Robert told ES Magazine in a piece published Jan. 19. "The amount of people who know me quite well and will still be like, 'Why are you doing these weird dancing videos on TikTok?' It's really bizarre."
The result of the eerie videos has also caused Robert to reflect on the consequences the clips could have in the future.
"You just realise that we're two years away from it being indistinguishable from reality," he explained, "and what on Earth am I going to do as a job then?"
And while Robert, 36, doesn't support the online fakes of himself, the actor revealed that he's currently filming a new movie, called Mickey 17, that sees him playing two versions of himself as clones who team up.
"It's with Parasite director Bong Joon-ho and it's like nothing I've ever done before," Robert mused. "The movie is so crazy, it's a completely different style of working."
The film, which is is based on a dystopian sci-fi novel by Edward Ashton, will also star Steven Yeun and Mark Ruffalo.
Elsewhere in the interview, the Twilight star shared why he feels the need to remain booked and busy, despite having already reached objectively huge success as an actor.
"There's just something in me which runs very, very deep and it makes the idea of taking a holiday seem like an impossibility," he told the outlet. "I find myself going, "No, I have to keep working, I have to keep working all the time, this might be my last opportunity, I've got to save for a rainy day."
