Savannah Chrisley is sending a special message to "superhero" mom Julie Chrisley.
In honor of her mom's 50th birthday, the 25-year-old paid tribute on social media, encouraging her to "fight the good fight" amid the family's legal troubles. Julie's birthday comes just days before the Chrisley Knows Best star and her husband Todd Chrisley are set to begin their prison sentences in their tax fraud case.
"I know this isn't the birthday we had imagined but I'll make it up to you," she wrote alongside footage of the mother-daughter duo together on Instagram Jan. 12. In her note, Savannah also thanked Julie "for being the mom that every girl dreams of having."
"For a lot of people…you only exist in fairytales but for me…YOU'RE my real life angel," she continued. "You have a heart that is full of love and kindness. Mom. You are magnificent. You are the most beautiful woman I know."
The Growing Up Chrisley star also went on to note that there were "times in life where I've hit rock bottom," calling her mom a "superhero" for saving her.
"And lastly…thank you for loving my daddy so deeply and so beautifully," she concluded her shout-out. "You've shown me what it means to be a ONE OF A KIND kinda wife. The love you've shown to him has helped to mold the tender love and incredible respect I have for my daddy. There's no greater than you mama, let's fight the good fight!"
After the couple's federal indictment in August 2019, both Todd and Julie pleaded not guilty to 12 counts, including wire fraud and conspiracy to commit bank fraud. However, in June 2022, the pair were found guilty by an Atlanta federal jury on all counts. Five months later, Todd was sentenced to 12 years behind bars, with Julie sentenced to serve seven.
"Over the course of a decade, the defendants defrauded banks out of tens of millions of dollars while evading payment of their federal income taxes," U.S. Attorney Ryan K. Buchanan told E! News in a Nov. 21 statement. "Their lengthy sentences reflect the magnitude of their criminal scheme and should serve as a warning to others tempted to exploit our nation's community banking system for unlawful personal gain."
The family's attorney, Alex Little, said that the sentencing proved to be a "difficult day" for the Chrisleys, noting that the pair plan to appeal.
"Todd and Julie are people of faith," he told E! News in a Nov. 22 statement. "And that faith gives them strength as they appeal their convictions."
