Now that the nominations for the 61st Annual Emmy Awards are up, it's time for people to start saying, "Who?! Me?! Oh, that's so lovely. Thank you." Thrilling stuff, to be sure.

Still, we do want to call out one man for bringing the funny, even when the subject matter is moderately mundane, and that man is Neil Patrick Harris

Read on to be amused by NPH and to see what nice things a bunch of good-looking and celebrated actors have to say about each other and their Emmy nods on this fine Thursday morning...

Christina Applegate, nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in Comedy Series as Samantha Newly on Samantha Who?: "This year's nomination means more to me than ever before. I'm incredibly happy and honored. Certainly it's bittersweet—we no longer get to do the show that we love so much, but that doesn't take away from the excitement and honor of this nomination. This is a wonderful recognition of what we created together every week."

Alec Baldwin, nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for his work as Jack Donaghy on 30 Rock: "I'm thrilled for everyone connected to the show, but I'm especially excited for Jane Krakowski, Jack [McBrayer] and Tracy Morgan. It's great working with the entire group, and I'm grateful for the recognition of our work."

Toni Collette, nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in Comedy Series as Tara Gregson on The United States of Tara: "I am thrilled and honored to represent United States of Tara in this way! I really hope this helps to widen the audience for our show!"

Glenn Close, nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her work as evil (eeeevil) Patty Hewes on Damages: "I'm thrilled. I'm part of a phenomenal team and am so, so happy for all our nominees."

Michael Emerson, nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his work as Benjamin Linus on Lost: "I continue to be surprised and flattered to have the esteem of other actors in the industry and a role so brilliantly written. I am proud to be a member of such a remarkable cast and company."

Sally Field, nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series as Nora Walker on Brothers & Sisters: "As Brothers & Sisters enters its fourth season, it still is and always will be a great honor to be nominated. The only hard part is finding a dress...and a date." (We love you, Sally!)

Jon Hamm, nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for his work as Don Draper on Mad Men as well as for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy series for his work as Dr. Drew Baird (Liz's hottie doctor boyfriend) on 30 Rock: "I am absolutely thrilled to be recognized and included among such excellent company. I am also glad that both Elisabeth Moss and John [Slattery]'s tremendous work was nominated, as well as the work of our incredibly talented crew. Finally, I would like to thank Tina Fey for allowing me to be the caboose on the freight train that is 30 Rock."

Mariska Hargitay, nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her work as Det. Olivia Benson on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit: "I'm hugely grateful to be nominated, and ridiculously honored to stand in the company of these incredible artists."

Neil Patrick Harris, nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for his work as Barney Stinson on How I Met Your Mother: "I love being in the mix again this year, but am absolutely over the moon about HIMYM's best comedy series nomination. The only multicamera show in the mix! This kind of recognition is huge for us. Just huge. It should be quite the night. Being asked to host the show—terrific. Getting a third nomination—fantastic. Having the ability to scribble my name in the envelope backstage when no one is looking—priceless."

Jane Krakowski, nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her work as Jenna Maroney on 30 Rock: "The writers have created an amazing character in Jenna, which I just love to play. I'm so honored to be part of this ensemble. This is my first Emmy nomination; I'm so excited! I am blown away by the number of nominations the show has received and thrilled for everyone."

Tracy Morgan, nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for his work as Tracy Jordan on 30 Rock, "It is an honor to be recognized by my peers and be a part of 30 Rock's 22 nominations. I want to thank everyone from Tina to Lorne to everyone in craft services."

Mary-Louise Parker, nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for her work as Nancy Botwin on Weeds: "I am thrilled to be nominated amongst this talented group of actors and especially happy for my friend Christina [Applegate] that she is being recognized for her great work. I feel proud to be a part of this show and to work with an incredible group of creative minds who take chances and are being acknowledged for this today."
