The Grammy-nominated singer revealed as much during an exclusive interview with E! News' Daily Pop on June 8. Sharing the adorable reaction Daisy had to her Las Vegas residency, Play, Katy said, "She's two, and she loved it."
"She has seen, like, the first act and a little bit of the second act—I think there's like five or six acts—so, one day she'll see the whole thing," Katy continued. "But she loved it so much. She was dancing in the audience and just being, you know, her joyful self."
"I see 6-year-olds in the audience. I see people that are 8 to 80," said Katy, and it just really makes my heart very happy to know that families are coming out, because that's what I'm looking for. I'm looking to bring my family."
She continued, "We gotta cover 11, gotta cover 2, gotta cover 45, 37. So, I feel like this show is that, and it's a great little, joyful bit of escapism."
Katy said the journey to putting together the show—which began performances in December 2021—was "wild and over-the-top," but she was up for the challenge.
"You have to dare to suck and dare to put something out there to land on something good," she said. "And so, there was a lot of weird stuff, but finally, we got to this version of Play."
Filled with her "one shade of dark humor" and "silly commentary," Katy said, "the whole show has a lot of spontaneous moments and opportunities for wild, wild things to happen every single night."
She teased, "Who know what's gonna go down tonight?"
Tickets for Katy Perry: Play are available through August 13.
