Watch: Zoe Kravitz Rocks Bat-Inspired Look at "The Batman" Premiere

While Batman might be reigning over the box office, it was Catwoman who stole the spotlight last night on Saturday Night Live.

As part of her opening monologue, host Zoë Kravitz shared just how seriously she prepared to portray Selina Kyle in the new Matt Reeves film The Batman, saying, "I watched the movie musical Cats every day for a year."

"Which," she added, "I actually heard was the same way Joaquin Phoenix prepared to play the Joker."

But before the High Fidelity actress, 33, could continue, she was joined onstage by Kate McKinnon—dressed in Michelle Pfeiffer's costume from the 1992 film Batman Returns. The SNL cast member explained that Zoë was now "part of a proud lineage of Catwomen, each with their own origin stories."

What inspired Kate to take up a life of crime fighting? "I fell out of a window onto a pile of cats," she confessed. "They licked me back to life, and now I dress like Sandy from a porno version of Grease."

It quickly all went off the rails when Kate lit up the "cat signal" and summoned a collection of catmen and women that hilariously included Ego Nwodim in Eartha Kitt's costume from the ‘60s TV show Batman, Aidy Bryant as a literal cat lady pushing a cat in a shopping cart and Chris Redd as comedian Katt Williams.

Elsewhere in the show, Zoë played an overjoyed maid of honor, giving a toast to her best friend on her wedding day.

However, as her speech continued, the groom became increasingly more and more concerned as he learned that his new wife had multiple children, dated most of the Jackass cast and stormed the U.S. Capitol as part of the Jan. 6 insurrection.

And, in another sketch, Zoë helped the Please Don't Destroy team find the cat they had purchased her as a gift only to end up finding her Batman co-star Paul Dano hiding under a couch instead.

When asked what he was doing, Paul shared that he had been "living down there" because he was "researching a new movie I'm doing."

"It's about three guys who suck," Paul said before unfurling a poster for a film called The Boring Writers that featured multiple actors playing the Please Don't Destroy cast. To add further insult to injury, he added, "It's about you guys!"
