As Speidi lightning continues to strike on Al Roker, the Today show icon is maintaining his sense of humor.

During a recap on this morning's episode, Meredith Vieira showed a clip of yesterday's much-discussed interview with Spencer and Heidi Pratt. When Roker asked if it looked like an attack, as they claim, the hostess pointed out that what she showed was only a small segment.

"I kept going, then I hit them with Mace and tied them up," he joked.

"Spencer said, 'He's lucky I was saved by Jesus, because a couple of weeks ago I probably would have ripped his head off for talking to my wife like that,' " Viera read from the transcript before asking Roker, "Are you proud?"

"Yes, I am," Roker replied. "I believe I asked what a lot of people wanted to know and, if he had tried to come across, I would have dumped him like a bag of dirt."

The Hills stars, for their part, claim to have forgiven the weather guru…but not before attempting to insult him.

"People keep on referring to this weatherman like I'm supposed to know who he is," Spencer told Usmagazine.com. "So, a shout-out to Weatherman, who I guess got to even hang out with us this morning. I actually thought we were hanging out with one of those people they get off the street, like one of those fan-type things."

"This weather guy was definitely out of line, and he should stick to predicting cloudy days," Heidi continued. "Maybe someone rained on his little parade."

Heidi continued along her path of claiming the grillmaster dislikes women.

"Please do not be rude to women in the future," she said. "Please do not be rude to me. Please watch your tone, especially if you have a mother or a wife or a daughter. I don't think that they would appreciate you talking to them like that."

However, being the recent religious role models they claim to have become, forgiveness is in Speidi's heart.

"I forgive you, you don't even have to ask me, I already forgive you," she says. "It's OK. The devil gets into all of us sometimes. You're forgiven. It'll be a sunny day tomorrow, Weatherman!"

Not unlike yesterday, Roker continues to Twitter his reactions, including his apology.

"Hello, United States of Twitterville. Got a late start as my Internet died at home. Must be Heidi and Spencer jamming my signal," he wrote this morning. "Can you believe all the reaction? I will admit, these two know how to work the media. If they can parlay this into their 2nd act, WOW."

"Heidi and Spencer are young and will eventually realize there's more to life than fame," he said last night. "And by putting them on, we are playing into their evil plot for world domination. For that, I apologize. Mwuh ha ha ha ha."
