If Robin Williams can't be as long-winded as he likes, he'd rather sit it out.

The Oscar winner was forced to cancel four Florida performances of his one-man show, Weapons of Self-Destruction, after experiencing shortness of breath, according to a statement released by his rep.

A doctor advised Williams, who's in the middle of an 80-city tour, to rest up for a week before returning to the stage.

Shows that were to take place Wednesday and Thursday in Hollywood, Fla., Friday in Orlando and Saturday in Tampa will be rescheduled, and tickets for those performances will be honored at the new ones. Williams is expected to retake the stage Monday in Jacksonville.

The 57-year-old funnyman's last stand-up tour was in 2002, and tickets for the Broadway leg of this road trip sold out so quickly that another three dates were tacked on in April to meet demand.
