Film's biggest night of the year is finally here!
The Golden Globes, SAG Awards, Critics' Choice Awards, Independent Spirit Awards, BAFTA Awards and more have all been leading up to this night: the 2019 Oscars.
Unlike years prior, the show went on without a host. It's the first time in 30 years and only the second time in the award show's 91-year run that this has happened. There was a slew of A-list presenters, including Chris Evans, Laura Dern, Melissa McCarthy, Emilia Clarke, Javier Bardem, Chadwick Boseman, Awkwafina, Tessa Thompson and so many more.
The Oscars are the preeminent show when it comes to awards season, which means there's bound to be some shocking moments as well as awkward ones.
With all eyes on the Academy Awards, the stars surely dress to impress and use the stage at the Dolby Theater as a platform for change and inspiration.
The show isn't all seriousness all the time, either. Lest we forget the moment Jennifer Lawrence reached peak J-Law and climbed over a chair in her floor-length Dior gown with a glass of wine in her hand? Not many people can do that, let alone keep it in the glass.
Last year, host Jimmy Kimmel brought along some famous friends including Gal Gadot, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Margot Robbie, Emily Blunt and Armie Hammer to the TCL Chinese Theater where they surprised a roomful of people seeing an advanced screening of A Wrinkle in Time. Not only did those unsuspecting movie-goers get to see their favorite celebs, but they also got some free food including hot dogs from a hot dog cannon.
This year's show featured some major history-making moments. Black Panther is the first superhero movie to ever be nominated for Best Picture. Lady Gaga was up for awards in the Best Actress and Best Song categories, which has never happened to a nominee in the same year. Her $30 million necklace broke some records, too.

The Hate U Give star Amandla Stenberg stopped by E! News' Glambot and laughed alongside her publicist after seeing how it came out.
BFFs and our "not hosts" of the evening Tina Fey, Amy Poehler and Maya Rudolph walked in together and were quickly ushered to the side of the red carpet stairs towards the theater. Unlike Fey, Poehler and Rudolph, music producer Mark Ronson told his friend to hurry up while he took a photo. He then saw a friend and stopped to shake his hand.
Jennifer Hudson and Danny Glover had fun taking pictures together on the carpet before the main set of stairs.
Roma star and Best Actress nominee Yalitza Aparicio arrived with her mom and held hands with her on the carpet. She smiled and looked potentially a bit overwhelmed with it all.
Captain Marvel star Brie Larson strolled in alongside her co-star Samuel L. Jackson. Larson and her friend subtly danced along to music. She wore a sleeveless and form-fitting Celine dress that many people on Twitter compared to armor. She's a real life superhero!
Sarah Paulson and Glenn Close stopped to admire each other's outfits and took a brief moment to chat with each other.
Best Documentary award presenter Helen Mirren opted for a hot pink dress at the Oscars. Before getting to show it off to more people, however, she got stuck in a bit of Charlize Theron traffic jam. Theron linked arms with her mom and they walked up the stairs.
Many men helped their wives and girlfriends up the stairs, including Chadwick Boseman and Keegan Michael Key.
Emma Stone walked the red carpet with her boyfriend Dave McCary, who is a filmmaker and Saturday Night Live director. He sat beside her at the show, which is notable because she's brought her brother Spencer to award shows in the past.
Rami Malek and his girlfriend and co-star Lucy Boynton walked to the stairs together, but the Bohemian Rhapsody star got pulled down the stairs to talk to some people and Boynton went on without him. The two of them enjoyed a date night together on Friday night before the big show. Malek and comedian John Mulaney walked in together. A few moments later, Boynton and Malek reunited and found their seats together.
The fun moments continued inside the Dolby Theater too.
Nominee Emma Stone took a moment to talk to Constance Wu and the two of them shared a laugh. Stone's co-star and fellow category nominee Rachel Weisz was at her seat with her husband Daniel Craig.
Larson seemed to be one of the most popular people there. Captain American himself Chris Evans stopped by her seat with Theron and they all had a conversation. Serena Williams later stopped by Larson's chair and they hugged.
Although Lady Gaga is nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role, she supported her pal Malek with his bow tie at one moment and it was everything. 'Tis the season for supporting because Chris Evans helped Regina King up the stairs to accept her Oscar for Best Supporting Actress.
It just so happens that the Joanne singer made history at the show when she wore a $30 million Tiffany & Co. necklace that consisted of a 128.54 carat yellow diamond.
The A Star Is Born actress sat next to Bradley Cooper and his girlfriend Irina Shayk at the show. He and Shayk reportedly weren't holding hands when they entered the theater together. Cooper walked in with his mom Gloria Campano. She was also his date to the 2019 SAG Awards.
While en route to his seat, Cooper gave Chadwick Boseman a high-five and Michael B. Jordan a handshake.
Lady Gaga proved she was the real dancing queen at the 2019 Grammys, and her evening at the Oscars was off to the same start. She and Shayk danced together during the opening number with Queen and Adam Lambert.
Theron and Larson were whispering to each other a bunch and looked really giddy while talking to each other.
Stone and Weisz took a break from the show and stopped by the bar, where they met up with their respective partners. Daniel Craig held onto a glass of wine and a whiskey, one of which could have presumably been for his wife. McCary got Stone a glass of champagne at the bar and clinked their glasses together. They showed some PDA inside and held hands.
After a trip to the restroom where she talked about how excited she was about the show, Olivia Colman went to the bar and downed a glass of champagne. She also took a moment to take photos with some fans.
Vice star Christian Bale also made a stop at the bar. He and his wife were there talking to Sandy Powell and then had a very animated conversation with someone else while drinking his beer very quickly. A lot of people approached Bale at the bar to say hello.
Hannah Beachler, who won the Oscar for Best Production Design for Black Panther, stood by the stairs onstage and waved her award in the air. Lupita Nyong'o and Danai Gurira both took pictures of Beachler when she won and cheered her on.
Mahershala Ali took home the Best Supporting Actor award for his role in Green Book and shared a very long hug with his co-star Viggo Mortensen.
Crazy Rich Asians co-stars Gemma Chan and Henry Golding hung out together at the bar, where he offered her some of his cookies. She happily accepted and stuffed one in her dress pocket. He then helped her with her dress train as they walked back into the theater. Once back inside, she showed off the sweet treat hiding in her pocket to everyone around her.
At one point when they were standing up, Jennifer Lopez put her hand on Alex Rodriguez's back and then let it slip a little lower to his butt. J.Lo had a brief conversation with Gaga and Cooper before they performed.
Irina Shayk clapped for her beau while he and Gaga performed "Shallow" onstage and then gave them a standing ovation when the song ended. Cooper gave Gaga a huge hug afterwards and even lifted her up a bit. The co-stars held hands as they returned to their seats and received a standing ovation from their fellow attendees.
Apparently, the entire bar was silent during their electric performance.
Spike Lee and BlacKkKlansmen won the Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay, which prompted a standing ovation. Cooper was one of the first people to stand up and cheer for Lee and his team. Gaga cheered for Lee's empowering speech. "Let's all mobilize, let's all be on the right side of history. Make the moral choice between love versus hate," he said during his speech. "Let's do the right thing!"
Other than referencing his film Do The Right Thing which turns 30 this year, he also wore "Love" and "Hate" rings that the character Radio Raheem wore in the film.
Shayk and Cooper both looked emotional during Gaga's Best Original Song acceptance speech. When she returned to her seat, the "Bad Romance" singer showed everyone her shiny award.
Rami Malek's mom cheered loudly for her son from the third mezzanine level during his acceptance speech for Best Actor. He praised his mom and talked about what being a first generation American and son of Egyptian immigrants meant to him. When it went to commercial, the entire mezzanine level with Malek's mom erupted into cheers.
Olivia Colman beat out expected winner Glenn Close for the Best Actress award and received a standing ovation from the theater before her hilarious and extremely relatable speech. Emma Stone stood up and screamed for her co-star and wiped away tears from her eyes. Stone then ran into the side to give Colman's husband a hug. Paul Rudd gave Colman a kiss on the hand as she walked by. Meanwhile, Theron gave Close a hug from behind.
The Best Actress winner gave fellow nominee Lady Gaga a kiss on the cheek on her way back to her seat. Best Director winner Alfonso Cuarón gave Rami Malek a hug and did the same to Gaga after walking offstage.
Everyone jumped up and cheered for Green Book when they were named Best Picture.
Once the show ended, stars gathered with their castmates as well as friends from other films and posed for pictures together.
