Kim Kardashian West is doing anything she can to get past the robbery in Paris.

Now that she's back in Los Angeles, Kim is not only turning to her closest family and friends to help her get through the aftermath, she's also getting some professional help, a source tells E! News exclusively.

"Kim is doing better but she still has a long way to recover from the robbery," the insider says. "She has been receiving some professional counseling. Her friends and family have been really supportive. Her sisters and mom have been checking on her every day."

Although husband Kanye West is continuing his Saint Pablo world tour, he makes sure to always check in to see how his wife is holding up at home. "Kanye has been by her side when he isn't working and calling her nonstop to check in on her," the source adds.

Unfortunately, Kim's toughest times occur when she's solo. "Kim is very paranoid still when she is alone. She has been having flashbacks and hasn't been sleeping well," the source explains. "Her security is always around her now."

As the saying goes, time heals all wounds, and the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star hopes that will help her move past the robbery trauma. "She is hoping with time it all gets better. Now is about recovering and being around the people she loves and trusts," the source adds.

"Being around her children is the biggest distraction for her mind. North West is aware her mom is sad and not herself, but Kanye and Kim are trying not to talk about it around her."

As Khloe Kardashian told Ellen DeGeneres Tuesday, Kim is "not doing that well."

"I mean, it's incredibly traumatic what happened to her, but our family is super close and great and we'll get through it together, and we do appreciate all of your guys' love and support and it will take time," Khloe said. "You know it was horrible what happened to her."

Khloe also said that she and the members of her family might approach social media differently. "Well, I think it's just a wake up call to make a lot of life adjustments. This is a really serious matter for Kim I think that's really personal as to when that emotional terror you could move on from that," Khloe explained. "I think for us it's all a wake up call for all of us, but definitely just to make sure our sister's OK."

Kim is also suing website MediaTakeOut for reporting that she lied about the robbery, according to legal documents obtained by E! News. She alleges that three stories contained libelous claims, including one stating that unnamed "French authorities" purportedly suspected that Kim let the robbers in. The stories have since been removed.
