Amy Schumer can find humor in any situation.

Take, for example, her current trip to Paris. After a few days of sightseeing with her boyfriend Ben Hanisch (which included a trip to Palace of Versailles), the Inside Amy Schumer star found herself sick to her stomach Monday afternoon. Schumer first uploaded an Instagram video of herself eating soup, which also gave her followers a view of the Eiffel Tower in the background. "Trying to eat chicken broth post puke fest," Schumer, 35, wrote in the caption. Unfortunately, things only got worse from there. Later that night, she shared a picture of herself and Hanisch lying in bed, writing, "Thanks for everything Paris! Except the food poisoning. #nooooooooooo."

Eventually, Schumer had to be hospitalized. She posed for a series of silly pictures on a gurney and shared them via Instagram. "No red flags with this girl," she joked in the collage's caption.

To pass the time in the hospital, Schumer filmed a parody video for a dating website. "Hi. OK, this is my first time making one of these videos, but, you know, it's a new time. My name is Amy. I'm 35. I love just grabbing life by its horns and experiencing everything. I love music and food," she said. "I really just want someone to share all of that with. So, I'm taking a chance."

On Tuesday, Schumer told her fans, "I feel better and will do all my shows next week and will go see the queen Beyoncé!"

As for her silly video? It was presumably filmed by Hanisch, whom she's been dating since January 2016. The pair met through a dating app, as Schumer revealed in her memoir, The Girl With the Lower Back Tattoo. "In my main profile picture, I was wearing sunglasses and a baseball cap with no makeup. It was a selfie and I made a gross face, looking as though I were dying, because I was hiking, so I was," she wrote. "I also put up a picture of Sophia from The Golden Girls, Claire Danes making her cry face on Homeland, and one more normal photo where I was smiling and wearing a sweatshirt."

Schumer clicked the "like" button on a few profiles, and within 40 minutes, she got her first match: Hanisch, a Chicago-based furniture designer.

The comedienne was smitten by Hanisch from the get-go. "He was dancing with his grandmother in his profile picture at what looked like a wedding. His song was 'LSD' by A$AP Rocky, my favorite song on that album. He wasn't an actor or photographer by trade like all the other guys—and he didn't live in L.A. or New York," Schumer wrote. "He was a Chicago guy. We sent each other very simple hellos and short, funny messages."

The pair talked on the phone for a few minutes and were charmed. Schumer deleted her account after a few days, but she made plans to meet Hanisch in New York City, where she lives. "The night I first met Ben in person...it was raining. I'd just had acupuncture, so there was oil in my hair and there were deep red lines on my cheeks from being face down on the table, but I put on jeans instead of sweatpants and walked downstairs to meet him outside. I got out into the rain, and Ben was standing there, no umbrella or hood, with a soggy paper bag with a bottle of wine in it," she recalled. "We smiled at each other and in that moment, everything felt right."

The couple walked the red carpet together last week at British GQ's Men of the Year event, where Schumer accepted the Woman of the Year honor. Schumer will likely bring Hanisch as her date to the 2016 Emmys, as she is nominated in five categories: Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series, Outstanding Writing for a Variety Series and Outstanding Variety Sketch Series for Inside Amy Schumer; Outstanding Writing for a Variety Special for Amy Schumer: Live at the Apollo; and Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series for Saturday Night Live.
