When you think about some of the best rappers of all time, Eminem is undoubtedly one of the names that comes to mind.

The Detroit native's ability to spit fire after fire, verse after verse, telling stories in an undisputed ability to rhyme and dissing the world, connecting with the angst of his teenage audience at that time, went undefeated for many years.

So when someone like Drake—who currently holds the heavyweight title as the best rapper right now (just ask Kanye West)—brought him out on stage in the hometown that had such an impact on his career, it sent chills up any rap fans' back, sitting in the audience or not.

It's simply legendary.

Not to mention, the collab shut down any of those rumors that the two icons have beef.

Earlier this month, Hot 97's DJ Ebro revealed that he heard a rumor Eminem was looking to drop a diss track on Drizzy.

Speaking about a private conversation on Ebro in the Morning, the DJ explained that he brought up the rumor backstage at Drake's OVO fest. "I told Drake that I heard the rumor was that Eminem was gonna gear up to come after him. And he laughed and he was like 'That's not gonna happen. He'd never do that. And if he did, I got something for him too.'"

However, the fact that Drake asked Eminem to join him on the Detroit stop of his Summer Sixteen tour (and the fact that Eminem agreed to do it) proves not all rappers need to battle it out...sometimes talented people are capable of praising other talented people.

In fact, the two couldn't help but show their respect for each other during Tuesday night's show.

"Make some noise for the greatest rapper to ever get on a motherf--king microphone," Drake told the crowd. "He goes by the name of Eminem—legendary s--t tonight."

Eminem was just as complimentary in return, saying, "It's an honor to share the stage with this man right here. Detroit one more time, make Drake feel the love."

Chills.
