Amid the drama surrounding Johnny Depp and Amber Heard's divorce, the actress' involvement with Billy Bob Thornton came into question.

In case you missed it, E! News reported that Depp had accidentally cut off the tip of his finger during a heated argument with his wife in 2015 in which he accused her of cheating on him. He then used the tip of his finger to pen a dark message to the actress on a mirror, writing, "Starring Billy Bob" and "Easy Amber."

TMZ originally reported the photos, explaining how Depp thought Heard slept with Thornton while they filmed London Fields together.

However, a source tells E! News, "Amber never cheated on Johnny with Billy Bob."

The 61-year-old actor—who married Connie Angland in 2014—reiterated that statement, telling TMZ the cheating allegations are "completely false."

Thornton said he only socialized with Heard one time at a cast dinner. Even on set, Thornton said he never even built a friendship with Heard and promised their relationship was only ever professional.

He also told the publication that he had to explain the situation to his wife and assure her it was not true.

Meanwhile, Heard and Depp finally reached a divorce settlement on Tuesday.

The Pirates of the Caribbean actor has reportedly agreed to pay his former wife approximately $7 million, and E! News can confirm from court documents that the actress has dismissed her domestic violence restraining order petition against Depp.

The two also issued their first joint statement together since Heard filed for divorce in May. "Our relationship was intensely passionate and at times volatile, but always bound by love. Neither party has made false accusations for financial gain. There was never any intent of physical or emotional harm," they said.

"Amber wishes the best for Johnny in the future. Amber will be donating financial proceeds from the divorce to a charity," the statement concluded. "There will be no further public statements about this matter."

Heard's attorneys, Samantha Spector and Joseph Koenig, also issued additional remarks. "We are very pleased that this matter has been settled and Amber has been vindicated in the Court of Public Opinion. The case was incredibly challenging and demanding on everyone involved, but mostly on Amber who showed great grace and strength under fire. It was an honor to represent her. "
