Lea Michele is now a single lady.
The Scream Queens actress and Robert Buckley have split, sources confirm to E! News. The romance was somewhat short-lived (Lea and the iZombie star were first reported as a couple in May), but a source tells E! News the former couple "are still friends" post-split.
"[They] just found they were better off as friends and wanted to support each other's careers," a source told Us Weekly, who was first to report of Lea and Robert's breakup. The actors' busy schedules were also said to have played a role in the split.
It's a good thing, though, that Lea, 29, and Robert, 35, are still on good terms, because their paths will almost certainly cross again. The exes are co-stars on Dimension 404, an upcoming science-fiction drama set to air on Hulu.
Prior to dating Robert, Lea was in a nearly 2-year relationship with Matthew Paetz. Their surprising split, which occurred several months before the Glee alum began seeing Robert, was very much unexpected.
"She's doing well and is focusing on friends and work," a source told E! News at the time. "This has been very sudden and hard, but if anyone can pick herself up it's Lea. She has a great network of friends."
In addition to her work in TV, Lea "is working on new music and has an album coming out that she is really trying hard to concentrate all her time on," a source told E! News.
