Michael Simon/startraksphoto.com Tori Spelling has found herself in a bit of hot water with American Express.
The actress is being sued by the credit card company for failing to pay her current balance of $37,981.97 since last summer, E! News can confirm.
According to the court documents, the last activity on the card was when the mother of four tried to make a payment in the amount of $1,070 on June 26 but was unable to complete the transaction.
Her last payment was due on August 18, 2015, with a minimum amount of $1,477 owed.
Per the lawsuit, American Express is asking that Spelling pay the entire balance currently owed, including interest, as soon as possible.
During a 2014 episode of her reality show, True Tori, the Beverly Hills, 90210 star admitted that she felt "overwhelmed" with her financial issues.
"I feel so responsible for so many people and I can't do it. [I can't handle] the responsibility of having to take care of so many people financially, the fear of that. [It] doesn't matter. I know people look at me and they're like, 'Oh, poor you.' Like, 'Boohoo, you have so many problems.'"
And in her 2013 memoir, Spelling It Like It Is, she explained, "It's no mystery why I have money problems. I grew up rich beyond anyone's wildest dreams. I never knew anything else. Even when I try to embrace a simpler lifestyle, I can't seem to let go of my expensive tastes. Even when my tastes aren't fancy, they're still costly. I moved houses to simplify my life, but lost almost a million dollars along the way."
