Who knew Jamie Dornan had so many famous friends?

The Fifty Shades of Grey actor is pals with Oscar-nominated Theory of Everything actor Eddie Redmayne (they did the #ALSIceBucketChallenge together, lest you've forgotten), and now, Dornan has revealed that he's also befriended Twilight actor Robert Pattinson. "I don't remember what we talked about the last time I saw him," the rising star, 32, admits in Variety's latest cover story. "I think we just got drunk."

Unlike Pattinson, Dornan has a social media following. Unfortunately, the actor quickly learned just how dangerous that can be after he downed too many vodka shots in December. "I woke up the next day, and I'd seen I'd tweeted the word 'Christmas' at around 1 in the morning. I don't know if I planned on saying more—like, 'Christmas is a time of reflection," the former Once Upon a Time star admitted. "It made me wish I didn't know my Twitter password and I wasn't able to get on and do stuff like that."

Still, Dornan's simple tweet still earned 10,000 favorites.

NEWS: Why these two scenes won't appear in Fifty Shades of Grey

Dornan became friends with Pattinson after he filmed Fifty Shades of Grey last year. Pattinson, 28, had reportedly turned down the leading role, though his performance as Edward Cullen in the Twilight saga inspired novelist E.L. James to write Fifty Shades of Grey, which has sold 100 million copies worldwide.

"I've been around Rob long enough to see what it's been like for him," Dornan says of the 28-year-old Rover actor's life in the limelight. "I don't know if it's been a benefit to witness that. Whatever that is."

"By the way, it's not the same thing," Dornan cautions. "We're not the Twilight franchise. We're a different thing. Whatever my situation is, it's going to be different from Rob's. They are incomparable."

The comparisons were inevitable, of course, given the high-profile nature of Twilight and Fifty Shades of Grey. "I'm astonished at how many people are telling me my life is going to change. Everyone that I meet, especially in L.A. People who run studios or other actors or people who are strangers," he says. "Everyone has been saying that to me, 'Are you ready?' I don't have a good answer to that, because I don't know what I'm meant to be ready for. Whatever happens, happens. I'll just roll with the punches."
