It's a scene that will live on in Real Housewives history forever!

After co-stars began questioning Aviva Drescher on the severity of her asthma condition, the Real Housewives of New York City star decided she just couldn't take it anymore.

So what does one do during a casual dinner party? Take her prosthetic leg off and toss it across a table, of course!

Almost six months after that scene aired, Drescher is finally admitting that she pulled the stunt to ensure a spot in the show's upcoming season.

"I look at being a Housewife as a job to entertain people, and, you know, it was a piece of the entertainment," she explained to HuffPost Live. "The highest ratings of the entire season was that episode."

She added, "Would I ever do that in real life? No. But there were several cameras around me, and was I thinking about making a show and be entertaining? Yes, absolutely."

It's quite the different tone from what Drescher told E! News shortly after the episode aired. When asked if the stunt was planned, the New Yorker insisted it was spontaneous.

"Often when I sit at table, to keep the circulation going with my limb, I loosen it by pressing a button which releases the prosthesis…[Co-star Heather Thomson] was standing over me, yelling at me, calling me a fake and blah, blah, blah. It just gave me this knee-jerk reaction to take my leg and slam it on the table. It is what it is."

Unfortunately, the act didn't exactly pay off in the long run. Sources confirmed to E! News back in September that Drescher was fired from the series. She has now joined the current cast of Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars.

"I just feel an obligation to earn my keep. You know, I got a certain salary, and I was there, and I was asked to be dramatic," Drescher explained when reliving her experience. "We know they love that, and I tried my best."
