Oh, James Marsden, you can sing to us any time.

The actor may be known for his ability to portray a wide variety of characters on the big screen, but the blue-eyed hunk also has an impressive set of pipes—of course, anyone who watched Hairspray or even 27 Dresses (Ba-ba-ba-Benny and the Jets!) would know that.

Ryan Seacrest knew that, which is why he put Marsden, who was promoting his upcoming film Best of Me, on the spot during his morning radio show and asked the Hollywood stud to lend his vocals alongside Lady Antebellum, who were also in studio, for a fun little sing-along.

"James, I just know you have this performance bug about you that we gotta expose to the world," Seacrest said. A confused Marsden exclaimed, "What? What's happening?!"

"We're gonna do a little 'I Need You Now,'" Ryan explained, but the group instead decided on doing a little Garth Brooks. So the star, who admitted he was nervous, opted to cover "Friends in Low Places," and he killed it.

Sure, he may have been caught offguard, but being the professional performer he is, Marsden just swooped on in there once the song began and made it all his own. And even though Hillary Scott promised him, "We'll do it together," she couldn't help but stand back in awe with the rest of the studio and watch him belt the lyrics and cheered him on.

"Now I'm just pissed, because he's better than me," Charles Kelley joked.

You just gotta see it for yourself:
