Uma Thurman Breaks Silence on Quentin Tarantino Dating Rumors, Reveals Their Relationship Status

Actress also tells Vs. magazine she thinks "media is part of the career of an actor"

Uma Thurman and Quentin Tarantino would make quite the power couple.

After the 44-year-old Kill Bill actress reportedly split from fiancé Arpad Busson, she was spotted with 51-year-old Tarantino on more than one occasion, where the longtime pals appeared to be getting quite cozy. This only served to fuel rumors that the Oscar-nominated actress and Pulp Fiction director were dating, and until recently, both stayed mum on the romance reports

Finally, though, Thurman is breaking her silence. In an interview with with Vs. magazine, excerpted by the Daily Mail, the actress says, "I was discussing [the rumors] with Mr Tarantino last night. He was angry at me for not calling him back because as he said, 'According to the papers we are practically married!' and he laughed hysterically."

"So our relationship," she clarifies, "is pretty much what it's always been; people are just having fun with it."

That's not to say, though, that Thurman completely hates the spotlight. "I think media is part of the career of an actor," she says. "There is no career for an actor who is in some way not in the media, unless they are unsuccessful."

And get ready to be seeing more of the Thurman back in the press. "I've kind of been on a hiatus for a while, and I just started getting back to work right now," the mom of three told Vs. magazine. "I had a baby and I also wanted to take a step back, and so I did. I think it's important to have this time to take a step back, analyze things and just breathe."
