Dylan Farrow's decision to pen an open letter to the New York Times, providing details of her alleged sexual abuse at the hands of her father Woody Allen, has sparked a fiery reaction from her brother Moses Farrow.

In the latest issue of People magazine, the 36-year-old is defending the famous filmmaker and slamming mother Mia Farrow for "poisoning the children against their father."

"My mother drummed it into me to hate my father for tearing apart the family and sexually molesting my sister," Moses tells the magazine. "And I hated him for her for years. I see now that this was a vengeful way to pay him back for falling in love with Soon-Yi [Previn]."

Moses and Dylan, 28, were adopted by Farrow and Allen. Moses, Dylan and brother Ronan Farrow were involved in a bitter custody battle in 1993, where both sides testified about Allen's affair with Farrow's adopted daughter Soon-Yi. The Oscar winner went on to marry Soon-Yi in 1997 and Farrow was awarded custody of the three children.

Years later, Moses is estranged from the 68-year-old actress, as well as many of his siblings, and is close to Allen and Soon-Yi. Dylan is adamant that "Woody did not molest my sister."

Moses added that Dylan "loved him" and he isn't sure if "my sister really believes she was molested or is trying to please her mother."

He explained that on the "day in question," everyone was in public rooms and "no one, not my father or sister, was off in any private spaces." According to Moses, Mia was not home that day and was out shopping.

Mia has not responded to Moses' reaction to Dylan's recent allegations. Dylan, who claims her father took her to the attic in their home and sexually assaulted her when she was just 7 years old, tells the magazine she is telling the truth.

"This is such a betrayal to me and my whole family," Dylan told People in response to her brother's comments.  "My memories are the truth and they are mine and I will live with that for the rest of my life."

Dylan continues that her mother "never planted false memories" and when she came forward with the story, she was "hoping against hope that I had made it up."

"In one of the most heartbreaking conversations I have ever had, she sat me down and asked me if I was telling the truth," Dylan explains of her sit-down with her mother. "She said that Dad said he didn't do anything, and I said, 'He's lying.'"

Allen's lawyer Elkan Abramowitz addressed the claims made in the open letter on the Today show on Tuesday, Feb. 4, saying Allen's "reaction is one of overwhelming sadness because of what has happened to Dylan."

"She was a pawn in a huge fight between him and Mia Farrow 20 years ago, and the idea that she was molested was implanted in her by her mother," Abramowitz continued. "And that memory is never going to go away. The fact that she says this now, that it happened 20 years ago, is totally understandable."
