Kelly Clarkson's baby girl capped off our emotional night by helping us say goodbye to the long-running series American Idol as it aired it's series finale, and as you may have already guessed, it was absolutely adorable.
Clarkson took to Twitter and wrote, "Congrats @TrentWHarmon :) @laporsharenae can't wait 4 ur album too! River wanted 2 say bye #AmericanIdol #IdolFinale," with a sweet video of River Rose saying bye to the camera. Fans were obviously overwhelmed with the cuteness and so was Clarkson. The singer responded to a user on Twitter writing, "she is my favorite thing on the planet! She's hilarious and cracks herself up which is the best part ha!"
Clarkson, who is about to welcome her second child any day now, made an appearance during a pre-taped performance in honor of tonight's finale, where she sang a medley of her greatest hits.
She ended her performance with an a capella version of "A Moment Like This," which got everyone in the room choked up with the memory of her belting that ballad when she first got crowned the winner during season one.
