Johnny Depp just brought rock-n-roll to the 2016 Grammys

Alongside heavy metal icon Alice Cooper and the rest of their supergroup, The Hollywood Vampires, joined by Aerosmith's Joe Perry and Guns N' Roses' Duff McKagan and Matt Sorum, marked their very first television performance in a big way.

Foo FightersDave Grohl offered a heartfelt introduction, calling late Motörhead frontman Lemmy Kilmister—who the band honored with "Ace of Spades"—"a rebel, an outsider, one of a kind and a way of life. He was a legend and I was proud to call him my friend."

Additionally, the edgy group premiered their new song "As Bad As I Am."

Ahead of the awards show, Cooper told Rolling Stone the band is, "pure rocker," adding, "It moves. It's what I think rock & roll needs right now."

The Hollywood Vampires haven't been the only artists to tear up the stage tonight. The Weeknd received a major standing ovation while Sam Hunt and Carrie Underwood's duet brought the sex appeal.
