It seemed like Ariana Grande didn't skip a beat when it came to moving on with her life following her surprising split with rapper Big Sean, something Scream Queens creator Ryan Murphy couldn't help but notice when he linked with the star for their new show.

So when it came time to interview Grande for V Magazine, Murphy brought this (along with a number of other interesting topics) up to the singer.

"I'm good at making the best out of something," she simply explained of her highly publicized breakup. "It also wasn't that hard for me, because we were friends. So it's chill."

However, when it comes to dishing breakup advice, Ariana is hesitant. But she does have some wise words to her fans who are dealing with a broken heart.

"I'm not going to pretend I have great breakup advice. It's hard. Good luck. You'll be fine. You don't need anyone. It's nice to have someone that makes you happy, but it's nice to be happy on your own as well," the 22-year-old said.

"You don't need to depend on another person for your happiness. That person can contribute to your happiness, but you're two whole beings on your own. You can make each other glow, like you just ran through one of those rainbow stars in Mario Brothers, but you're still completely capable, sufficient, and beautiful, and can be happy on your own. That's my breakup advice! There you go! I got it!"

On a similar note, the brunette beauty (who recently ditched her ponytail to show fans her natural locks!) spoke about the message she tries to convey in her music, which is that a woman is in charge of her own sexuality.

"I wrote something a little while ago, about what it's like to constantly be attached to a man in the media, and how I'm not Sean's ex," she told Murphy.

"I would prefer to be referred to as just Ariana. But then some people were being like, what a hypocrite, because now she has a new boyfriend. But they're still missing the point. It doesn't matter whether I'm on my own or not. Whatever I decide to do with my body, with my heart, and with my life, I can still be my own person."
