Chris Brown's road to the top has been anything but smooth, and he knows that.

The singer—who has been at the center of numerous feuds, legal trouble, drama, you name it—posted a photo of himself lounging by the ocean on Instagram, and while the picture itself is pretty dope (anyone else get vacation FOMO?), it's the caption that drew more attention.

Breezy wrote a lengthy note to his followers along with the pic, reflecting on his troubled past and bad boy ways and vowing that he's going to be better.

"I'm Konfuzed, I always thought I knew the concept of love. Fame and Money can get in the way of that. Most of my issues always deal with love and me being in my feelings. Not to mention me being a dog sometimes," he began.

"I can't speak for everyone but I can say that my actions contributed a lot to my karma. Being jealous and angry and controlling. There has been times where I looked in the mirror and hated the person I see. I talk to God a lot now. He's given me so much and I feel like I waste his gifts becuz of my impulsive personality."

Brown continued, "The world is full of negativity and I feel I play a part in it becuz of the choices I've made or mistakes. I tend to accept the negative or the riff raff becuz I know what it's like to be a young black 'n---a' in America. I always see the good in people even when they don't see it.

"I love others more than myself at times. Everything u see on the surface does not reflect what's inside. This is my white flag. I surrender to life and all its blessings. I refuse to be petty and attention seeking. To know me is to love me. Good Bad UGLY! Sincerely, Konfuzed."

So why is the star turning over a new leaf now? Well, it might have something to do with a very special li'l lady in his life, daughter Royalty.

"I honestly never knew I could love someone as strong as I do," Chris shared on social media after his daughter enjoyed the afternoon out. "I'm gonna give her the world."

Even Jamie Foxx thinks the 26-year-old's new attitude is for the better. "I just felt like, you know, in our business you could've thrown money at it. And to see him take that step and really take care of his daughter… that is not to be overly commended because it's what he's supposed to do, but you know how this business can be," he shared exclusively with E! News.

"I thought that, for him, to see his smile now is just different to me and I hope he doesn't mind me saying that. It was great to see that."
