Penélope Cruz is officially an aunt!

The actress' stunning sister Monica Cruz gave birth to a baby girl Tuesday in Madrid, Hola magazine reports.

The To Rome with Love star—who is currently pregnant with her second child with hubby Javier Bardem—was reportedly by her sister's side while Monica was in labor at the International Ruber Clinic. The pair's mother, Encarna, and brother, Eduardo Cruz, also stopped by the hospital to show their support.

Eduardo took to Twitter after Monica welcomed her bundle of joy, posting a message which reads "Viva La Vida," which translates to "Long Live Life," on his micro-blogging page.

The 36-year-old first-time parent announced her decision to become a single mother in January. She revealed she turned to an anonymous sperm donor to get pregnant after fearing it would be "too late for motherhood" by the time she found her perfect partner.

"I am going to be a mother! I have managed to fulfill the dream of a lifetime," she posted on her blog for El País. "To become pregnant, I turned to artificial insemination…I want to tell, also, so I can have the opportunity to show my thanks to all those anonymous men that give many women like me, the dream of their lives."

So happy to hear Monica's dream has been fulfilled. Congrats to the proud new parent!
