UPDATE: Without directly mentioning his run-in with police Friday, George Michael released this statement via his publicist:

"I want to apologize to my fans for screwing up again, and to promise them I'll sort myself out. And to say sorry to everybody else, just for boring them."

Unfortunately, touring isn't the only familiar activity George Michael appears to be engaging in these days.

The British pop star was given a warning—what the Brits call a "caution"—Friday for possessing Class A and Class C drugs after being arrested in a public toilet in the Hampstead Heath area, according to London's Metropolitan Police.

Authorities do not reveal the identity of arrestees but a police rep confirmed that a 45-year-old male had been picked up Sept. 19 on suspicion of drug possession.

Per the U.K.'s Misuse of Drugs Act, Class A includes painkillers such as oxycodone, cocaine, heroin and methamphetamine, while Class C comprises marijuana and other cannabis-related products.

Michael, who has spoken candidly in recent years about pot use, wrapped up his first tour in 15 years last month, saying it was the last time he would play arenas and stadiums.
