His Dancing with the Stars cohort Cheryl Burke says he is going to be just fine, thank you very much.
“I think he just needs to rest,” Burke said today at the launch of the Think MTV and Taco Bell Foundation Teen Hero Awards at the Boys & Girls Club in Burbank, Calif. “I think he’ll be able to dance for sure.”
Hough was taken by ambulance from the DWTS set to a hospital after suffering a minor neck injury while rehearsing a routine with his sister Julianne and Mark Ballas.
“I think he just pulled a muscle in his neck, but it’s great he went to the hospital right away because that’s very scary,” Burke says.
Meanwhile, Burke is brushing off her own drama about the tabloid-rumored affair with her former DWTS partner Drew Lachey. In fact, Burke says Lachey is attending the opening of her new dance studio on Friday in San Francisco.
“Dancing is a close sport,” Burke says. “I think people sometimes take it the wrong way. There will always be rumors, but you just hold your head up and move on with your life.”
