Cher Needs a Little Work

Cher opens her Las Vegas show. The look and feel were pure Cher. Hopefully, the glitches will go away

Cher opened her new Las Vegas show last night at Caesars Palace, but the extravaganza still has a few bugs to work out.

Like about two weeks worth, according to the diva herself.

“She said they were going to attempt some pretty cool things tonight, but they had only had two dress rehearsals,” an audience member reports. “So she had no idea if they’d be able to pull it off. She was apologizing in advance for any glitches and said in two weeks it would be much better.”

“The entrance is phenomenal,” my source said. “Cher comes down from this lit up cage that floats high above audience. But before that, there’s an actual hologram of her on the stage, and it is 3-D. You think she’s on stage, but she’s not."

That cage contraption scares the music legend. “Basically,” the source said, “she admitted she was scared s--tless!”

My source, a die-hard Cher fan, says the show does need work, though. “There were lots of glitches, and she didn’t look very confident up there,” he said. “But her dancers carried her through.”

One thing's for sure, she looked divalicious: “There were major costume, hair and makeup changes after almost every song! The outfits and wigs were fabulous.”

Cher was later spotted celebrating her big night with a dinner at Spago with Siegfried and Roy. When in Rome...
