Ugly BettyABC/Scott Garfield

Folks, we are positively swimming in scoop today, so let's get to it! Your Q's. My A's. Relatively little B.S.

Susanna in Oswego, New York: Can you give me some Ugly Betty scoop? It's never on anymore, and I need something to tide me over.
Sure can. I just heard that Aaron Sorkin's ex, er, I mean Kristin Chenoweth of The West Wing, is back on TV this spring, and you'll never guess where: Betty Suarez's dentist office! Yes, I'm hearing that the Wicked one herself has signed on for the May 17 season finale to play [read only if you want to know] Diane, a dental hygienist who's a total romantic and somehow gets involved in Betty's personal life. Betty already went on a date with her orthodontist, so who knows? Perhaps Diane and Betty will be all wrapped up in an ortho-denti-love-triangle? Me-ooowww! Bring on the Novocaine!

Charlie in Cambridge, Ohio: Do you know if Sara Ramirez (Callie) is returning to Grey's next season? I heard a rumor she wasn't, and she has to! I'm in love with her!
Me, too. I can tell you that there is no official news of Ramirez's status for next season; however, I did just run into her as she was being rushed down the carpet into the ceremony at this weekend's 18th Annual GLAAD (Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) Media Awards in Hollywood. I asked if she'd be interested in joining the spinoff if she were invited, and her response of, "Oh. Gosh. I don't know..." was so hesitant that it did not put my mind at ease. Here's hoping she stays!

Helen in Monrovia, California: One week until the best show on television returns! Any Heroes scoop?
They are shooting the finale right this very minute. Gaaahhh! And I think you might want a family-size Charmin pack standing by. There will be more than a few soiler spoilers. I'll see the cast tomorrow night at their wrap party, so if you have questions, please send 'em along!

Erin in Florida: What's the scoop on my favorite show, Brothers & Sisters?
I met the charming creator of Brothers & Sisters, Jon Robin Baitz, at the GLAAD Awards and asked him what's coming for the Walkers. "So much, so much!" he said. "Marriages end, people go off to war. Ron Rifkin's character, Saul, goes through enormous changes." Heart attack? Stroke? New girlfriend? "Could be any of the above or more—you'll see some of it in the last episode coming up." And then I pounced on the ridiculously talented Ron Rifkin himself and begged for a hint! "I have no idea! I totally don't know!" Matthew Rhys chimed in, too, claiming, "I doubt he knows." And then that diabolical (but oh so plugged in!) Patricia Wettig teased me with, "I know, but I'm not allowed to say!" Grrr...spoken like a true former Prison Break president.

Nicolette in Fairfield, Connecticut: Please, I need some Brothers & Sisters scoop!
When I spoke to Jon Robin Baitz, I also queried about the future of Holly and Rebecca: Would they be integrating more with the original-recipe Walkers? He told me, "There will be some more integration, some more fighting, some more confusion and some more bloody desire." Mmm...now, just for the record, are there any more William Walker children we don't know about? Said Mr. Baitz: "At least a dozen!" (You heard it here first, people!)

Melissa in Cheyenne, Wyoming: What's the scoop on this year's installment of So You Think You Can Dance? Is it going to be good?
It's hard to say, but I can tell you there will be one giant flaw in the show this year: No Brian Friedman! I saw Brian at the T-Mobile Sidekick iD Launch Party and told him he was my absolute favorite choreographer-judge, and then he crushed my summer dance-show dreams when he told me, "I'm not doing the show! There might be a possibility that I'll come back, but you won't see me there now. I'm not a part of the audition process—I'm doing a show in London right now for Simon Cowell called Grease Is the Word." Damn you, Cowell! On the other hand, he also says he's working with Britney Spears on some new stuff, which can only be a good thing for them both.

Diega in El Paso, Texas: Do you know if we'll ever get more of J.Lo's DanceLife on MTV?
The official word from the network is that no decision has been made, but when I talked to the DanceLifer known as "Jersey" at the T-Mobile Sidekick iD Launch Party, she told me, "Right now, we're in negotiations a lot about storylines and stuff, but I know if there is one, I'll be in it." Whoo! And if you're a Blake McGrath fan, Brian Friedman spilled that he's currently running a dance troupe in his homeland of Canada as well as working on recording an album of his very own!

Holly in Tuscaloosa, Alabama: I know you said the upcoming Lord of the Flies-ish turn of Lost is possible because of the later hour, but so help me, I can't stay up until 10 on weekdays. Any word on if it might move earlier?
No such word, my poor dahlink! On the other hand, you're in good company: Josh Holloway agrees with you! He told me: "I do feel like we're in the wrong time slot, most definitely too late—I lost my own brother! He's like, 'Dude, I got to get to work in the morning; I download it now, and watch it later.' So, if I lose my own brother watching it...I'm just going to say it: Let's move it back to 8 or 9 p.m." By the way, we're featuring Josh Holloway and Terry O'Quinn in our Lost bonus clips this week, so check back then for more from Sawyer and Locke.

Randi in Irvine, California: Do you know if Lincoln Heights is coming back?
It sure is! I talked to Robert Adamson (Charles) at the T-Mobile Sidekick iD Launch Party, and he told me season two begins shooting in June. He told me that Charles' relationship with Cassie "is going really well—mostly it's just growing and developing!"

WARNING: SPOILER ZONE
Don't read 'em if you don't want to know!

Daniela in Brazil: Any news on Bette la Fea?
Claro que sim! The next new episode of Ugly Betty, which airs this week, is fantastic. You must watch. There's a surprise wedding proposal (not a good surprise), and there's a surprise twist to Daniel's latest conquest (again, not a good surprise). Plus, two characters who haven't hooked up before will hook up! And Betty will endure two breakups (not of the romantic nature) before the week is up. (Sniffle.) It's a juicy little ep.

Carl in Phoenix: What's the word on Veronica Mars?
Looks like a few old friends will come back for the finale. As I told you a few weeks back, Max Greenfield (Deputy Leo, who also has a hilarious comeback on this week's Ugly Betty as Amanda sinks her claws in to try and take his job), will return to Veronica for at least one episode, including the season finale. And Jake Kane will also be back! Now, as long as this isn't a fond farewell finale and just a season finale, I'm all for this. Oh, and by the way, I hear that if Veronica were to continue, Rob Thomas is interested in doing a storyline between Deputy Leo and Daddy Mars—yet another reason to renew.

Ginny in Texas: Any hope for Jam? I want them to be together right now!
Well, the good news is that I'm hearing Karen will not be in The Office full-time next year (there are whisperings she might be sent to corporate—hurrah!), so all the Scranton stars seem to be aligning for a Jam make-out session. And if you've seen Blades of Glory, you know just how hot that second kiss might be. (God bless Jenna Fischer and her slobbery tongue! Funniest part of the flick, if you ask me.)

Christa in Laguna Niguel, California: Any news with The Office? I'm newly hooked!
I spoke to Oscar Nuñez at this weekend's GLAAD Awards, where the show was nominated for the "Gay Witch Hunt" episode, and he tells me that his character's gay relationship won't be seen again this season. "Maybe next season. For this one I think we're kind of done." As for the rest of the gang? "There'll be some movement of personnel." Like, Karen to corporate? (Yes, I'm going crazy with anticipation of what may be!)

Domenica in Manhattan: I'm in desperate need of anything on Grey's Anatomy. Do you have anything good?
Just when you thought Meredith's bright, shiny, post-death-experience life was back on track, she will get close to someone only to lose her. And yes, I did say her! It's not a series regular but someone important in her life.

Brandy in King, North Carolina: Any gossip on Desperate Housewives?
I chatted up superstar producer Marc Cherry at the GLAAD Awards, and he spilled: "We have two weddings coming up—one for Susan and one for Gabrielle—and here's scoop that a lot of people don't know about. In the next-to-last episode of the season, Susan and Gabrielle have it out, because one is stealing the wedding plans of the other. It's a very, very funny episode where the two women fight over wedding planners and caterers and florists." Funny, that's exactly why I had to move my wedding date from 7/7/07! (Partially true story that in fact has nothing to do with real-life bride Eva Longoria, but rather the insane amount of people getting married on that date.)

Patricia in Bloomington, Minnesota: Desperate Housewives has been really good lately. I heard Mike Delfino's brother is joining the cast soon. Is it true? Are he and Susan getting back together?
All I can say is that Susan makes her decision before the end of the season. As for Mike's brother, he will be hitting Wisteria Lane in the near future, but not this season, as producers had originally planned. I'm told Terry Delfino makes his DH debut early next fall.

Ryan in Riverside, California: Do you know anything more about the Sylar episode of Heroes? He's my favorite character.
You have excellent taste! And lucky for you, I ran into my friend Zachary Quinto at the T-Mobile Sidekick iD Launch Party on Friday night, and I asked him about the show's visit to Sylar's past. Zachary told me: "You get to see a whole other side of him in episode 21, which was such a joy for me to explore. You get to see a lot more about where he comes from and what drives him and what he's fighting against in a lot of ways. I think he's definitely misunderstood—he's like a lost soul. And I got to work with the incomparable Ellen Greene—she might play my mom, but I'm not going to say that for sure..." (And then Fall Out Boy trampled us, but that's a story for another time!)

Thomas in Stockholm, Sweden: Heroes!
Hiro's dad will return, and it turns out he also has a power. There are definitely strong genetic connections for all the Heroes.

Georgia in Miami: Any scoop on Lost?
I hear we're going to meet Ben's mommy and daddy. And they are...vampire monkeys. And I am...kidding on that second part. But we will get much more info about Ben's origins and the origins of the island. And we will get some hefty answers as the show wraps up season three, so sit tight!

Ted in Kansas City, Missouri: So, babies can't be born on Lost island. What would happen if Sawyer knocked up Kate?
Well, don't you think that's what the Others want to know? I'm guessing—honestly, just guessing herethat's why "they" abducted Skate, got them hot and sweaty, and put them in cages (with her in a pretty dress), with video cameras standing by. I'm guessing the list broke down the Losties into the "good" and "bad" because the "bad" were of questionable moral integrity and therefore more suitable to serve as lab rats in Juliet's lair of neonatal experimentation. P.S. Don't forget what I've told you all along, that in the initial concept for the entire show, Claire's baby was tied to the "history of the island" and extremely pivotal. It's all comin' together, my friends!

Melissa in Marietta, Georgia: Amanda (Carla Gugino) stood up to Ari last week on Entourage, but I must say I prefer his original female nemesis, Dana Gordon! Is Constance Zimmer coming back to the show this season?
I'll let her answer that question for you: "Well, it's funny, because I haven't been able to tell anyone. But now I can. Yes, I am coming back this season. With a vengeance! I get the upper hand [with Ari], which is fantastic, because I haven't had it yet. I kind of get to f--k with him a little bit, so I love that."

Robin in Cambridge, Nebraska: How good was Entourage last night?! Any scoop?
Yup. I talked to Perrey Reeves, aka Mrs. Ari, recently, and she assured me there's quite a bit coming up for her character. But don't assume it has anything to do with marital troubles: "[Ari and Mrs. Ari are] great! As always. They're totally devoted to each other. They're both very driven people, very intelligent. They really hash stuff out and trust each other in their decision-making abilities. I help him out, just so he doesn't blow it. And he lets me, because he knows I'm right." However, I'm hearing that Mrs. Ari won't just be the woman behind the man in season four. Rumors are swirling that her acting career will be reborn with a role on The Young and the Restless!

Glo in Boston: Any scoop on Gilmore Girls? Any gossip on it coming back? Some say yes, others say no.
You aren't going to like this (sorry, it's hard for me to report!) but I think you can add Damian Pelliccione into the "no" column. He has a small part on the show as Rory's friend Lance, and at the GLAAD Awards, he said: "I have one or two more episodes and that's it; my character dies off—no, doesn't die really, just the show's dying. And you'll see a lot of switching between Rory and Lorelai's character toward the end—it's a big juxtaposition. I can't give too much away, but you really see Rory grow up and mature by the end of this season."

Marcus in New Orleans: Your Smallville scoop is killing me! Is it Lionel?
Nope, it's not Lionel. It is one of the main four series regulars.

Tessa in Grand Rapids, Michigan: What's coming up on Smallville?
You aren't gonna like it. My sources tell me another character (a second one) is leaving the show by season's end.

Nicole in Troy, Idaho: Anything new on Studio 60?
Expect a bomb threat to halt production before the end of the season. And, yes, I’m talking about a storyline here, people!

Chelsea in Erie, Pennsylvania: I've gotten really addicted to How I Met Your Mother this spring. What's coming for the finale?
I took a moment to bask in Cobie Smulders' glow at the GLAAD Awards and asked about what's coming up on HIMYM. She told me, "We have our last three episodes that we're airing...It ends in a very sweet way, but in the very last episode there are things that are revealed."

Fred in Aurora, Colorado: You're not holding back any Battlestar scoop, are you? I'm seriously dying without that show. Please tide me over with something!
The "Boomer" version of Eight will be back. And Jamie Bamber attended this weekend's 18th Annual GLAAD Awards, where he spilled this thematically appropriate scoop about the future of BSG: "I know there's a Pegasus story coming up, but I have no idea quite what's involved. There is a rumor about finally doing some kind of gay storyline, but other than that, I don't know!" (If the gay storyline has anything to do with the two-hour standalone movie about the history of Battlestar Pegasus coming later this year, my money's on Admiral Cain.)

Cori in Columbus, Ohio: Can you give me some scoop on the Heather and Jake relationship on Jericho, and when she comes back?
An inside source tells me Heather (Sprague Grayden) is not completely off the show—she reappears in one of the season's final four episodes.

Jenny in Dayton, Nevada: I hear Magnum P.I. may be taking James Caan's vacant spot at the Montecito when Las Vegas comes back in the fall. Any truth?
Yes, I believe Tom Selleck is a definite possibility, and I've also got a little scoop on the new female character joining the cast: Piper, a young, beautiful girl, is the black sheep of her prominent family. She comes in as the Montecito's new concierge and brings a bit of edge to the post. I'm hearing she's smart and confident and knows how to make waves.

Maria in Chicago: Thanks for the My Boys scoop last week. I can't believe Brandon and P.J. aren't gonna be together! He's got a new girlfriend?!
P.J.'s going to be playing the field, too. In fact, I hear she scores big-time when the Cubs' new shortstop (one of Chi-town's most eligible bachelors) shows serious interest in her!

Angela in High Point, North Carolina: I've been watching the premiere of Drive, and all I can say is wow! Can you give some scoop on action to come?
Drivers start swapping cars and passengers like a suburban carpool on crack, and oh, Kristin Lehman (Corinna) let me in on a little secret: "I just might know where Alex's wife is." The plot? It thickens. Just like goo.
