Pink has garnered her fair share of headlines over the past year, none of which have been for her music. Until now.

The Grammy-winning songbird announced plans to release a fifth, as-yet-untitled studio album Oct. 28. The debut single, "So What," is due out in early August.

The album represents the singer's first release since splitting from hubby Cary Hart earlier this year and is a return to her hit-making past.

The artist born Alecia Moore has reteamed with Swedish pop machine Max Martin, whom she worked with on her previous release, 2006's I'm Not Dead, and partnered anew with video director Dave Meyers for "So What." Meyers was behind her attention-grabbing and It girl-lampooning "Stupid Girls."

The video will debut next month on MTV's Pete Wentz-hosted FNMTV. As a tuneup, Pink will also serve as a guest commentater on the show July 25 and Aug. 1.
