Jenna Fischer, John Krasinski

Awww, our girl Pam Beesley (Jenna Fischer) is growing up. Yes, Office fans, I'm hearing that everyone's favorite Scranton, Pa., receptionist is moving on up in the season-five premiere...

Want to know why and how? Click in!

Sources tell me that as you read this, the University of Southern California is masquerading as Pratt Art School!

Now, before you get all excited about Mekhi Phifer's character taking an artsy turn on ER this season, allow me to remind you that the lovely Ms. Beesley was accepted to Pratt Art School in May's season-four finale of The Office.

So it sure looks like our girl is getting all self-actualized and heading down the career path of her dreams in the season-five premiere, right? Tell me that doesn't make you all warm and tingly. (If not, look again at the photo above.)

According to sources, the Office crew has been shooting scenes at "Pratt" this week, and here are a few not-too-spoilery (promise) details...

  • Pam will be studying under at least two different art professors—one is a bearded dude and the other is a lady hipster
  • Pam gets lost and sits in on the wrong class, but eventually she finds her way... (Ooh, metaphor!)

I love that sweet, shy Pam is doing what needs to be done to grow up and get out of a Michael Scott-shaped rut. (Though, let's face it, she can never leave Dunder Mifflin in order for The Office to work...or wait...Can she? Discuss below, please!)

John Krasinski

Of course, the question is, what has young Jim Halpert (John Krasinski) been doing during his summer to advance his dream of being a Philly sportswriter? I personally think he should start a blog and include lots of shirtless photos, for professional purposes only, naturally.

The Office one-hour series premiere (can't wait) airs on NBC Thurs., Sept. 25 at 9 p.m. (Hit up our cool Fall Premiere Reminders section at right to make sure you don't miss it.)
