Kelsey Grammer's luxurious abode might end up creating an eyesore in his checkbook.

A Los Angeles-based company that did some remodeling work on the Malibu manse the actor shares with his wife, Camille, has filed suit to collect what it claims is the $148,135.52-plus-interest the Frasier star still owes for the home improvements.

Per documents obtained by TMZ.com, which reports that the point of contention is the couple's kitchen, the Grammers hired the Last Detail to do the job in 2006 and then, as the work went on, kept making tweaks to the original plan, thereby racking up extra charges.

While they have paid part of the bill, "Plaintiff has repeatedly demanded payment from defendants for these services," to no avail, according to the lawsuit filed July 3 in L.A. Superior Court.

On the Grammers' part, the Last Detail alleges breach of contract; entitlement to recover the costs and be compensated for the reasonable value of work, labor and services performed; intentional misrepresentation and promise made without intent to perform.

The plaintiff is also seeking $60,000 for attorneys' fees and unspecified additional damages.

A rep for Grammer, who last month was recovering from a mild heart attack he suffered while vacationing in Hawaii, has not commented on the suit.
