While Gina Gershon lights up Broadway in the musical Boeing Boeing, Gershon's rep is setting flame to Vanity Fair, accusing the magazine of "irresponsible journalism" in its article linking former President Bill Clinton to the actress.

This month's issue features a scathing profile of Clinton, penned by Todd S. Purdum, which insinuates that the former prez has been less than faithful to Hillary since recovering from heart surgery in 2004.

Purdum alleges that unnamed aides to Clinton were nervous about the former president's reputed sexual dalliances, suggesting he made stops in California to "visit" Gershon.

"Todd Purdum's insinuation is a lie and is irresponsible journalism. We are
demanding a retraction," says Gershon's publicist, Mara Buxbaum.

The former president seems equally incensed, calling Purdum "dishonest," "slimy" and worse.
