• After two past rejections, the owner of fast-food chain Arby's restaurants finally succeeded in buying competitor Wendy's for an estimated $2 billion. Economists expressed equal amounts of surprise and concern that Wendy’s finally relented to the sale and that Arby’s was somehow able to come up with two billion dollars.
