Bowl-ed over

Finally, something we can all do together

The Chelsea Lately writing team took a recent field trip to a bowling alley, and we really learned a lot about each other.  I was pleasantly surprised to find out that we are all good at something.  Nobody that works here is all that funny, their personal lives are pretty much in shambles, and if you passed most of them on the street, you'd clutch your purse and pick up your pace.  But at the bowling alley, I felt like people's stars really started to shine.  This was not our first attempt to bond over a team-type sporting event.  We had a softball team for 10 minutes, but we found out that they don't allow people in their 30s to hit off of a tee.  We had a basketball team for a day, but the one black guy that we had working here heard they were hiring over at the Kardashians' show and bailed.  So, luckily with bowling, we finally found a sport that we can all enjoy and excel in.  I don't know if it's all that healthy, but at least the gutters there are cleaner than the ones my employees usually end up in.
