"Her look is almost rocker chic meets Old Hollywood, and the cut of her Giambattista Valli frock is a great pairing with her short hair. Everything with the dress is just enough, from the sparkle, to the see-through neckline at the top. Her makeup is fresh, and her brows and lips draw just the right amount of attention to her face shape without being overpowering," says Jared Leto's makeup artist, Ashley Rebecca.
"Isla's hair and makeup look effortless, yet sophisticated which is the perfect combination for red carpet beauty. Her soft waves and side part are the perfect compliment to her dress, and my favorite part of all, her jewelry! A red lip with glowing skin balances all of her bling," says Ashley Rebecca.
"I love her look from her hair and makeup, to the stunning cobalt blue dress. The orange red choice of lipstick is a dynamite combination with her dress color and fair skin. Not only does she look elegant, the dress accentuates her body in all the right places," says Ashley Rebecca.
"Sofía Vergara was luminous in her antiqued gemmed gown. She played down her makeup with soft natural tones and mauve lips, which complimented the whole look, rather than her signature red lip," notes beauty guru Karen Sarahi Gonzalez.
"Amanda really stunned in this Zac Posen dress. I loved the whole look on her. The dress was tailor-made to perfection on her body and hugged her in all the right places. This is what I call the definition of effortless beauty. She has gorgeous hair, so by leaving it down and free-flowing, she didn't look like she was trying too hard. I loved this look because it wasn't about one particular feature (the hair, the makeup, the dress) but everything just worked together. When everything looks so natural, I love it. She had a natural eye, a natural lip, natural hair and that allowed her natural beauty to radiate that day," says Marc Mena.
"Since this year, Kate Hudson has worn this look a couple of times, but this was the first time we saw her wear this look and it really worked for her. The hair and makeup are extremely important with this look because the dress is white and fitted with an open back, so she needed something interesting that would complement the dress. By pulling her hair back into a messy updo, she created height and texture that added to the sexiness of the dress and emphasized the back. It was one of my favorite looks because it was like a mullet, business in the front and sexy in the back," says celebrity hairstylist Marc Mena.
"Emily was fairly new to the red carpet at this awards show, but when she showed up wearing this Pamella Roland metallic dress that looked like liquid silver on her, she really made her mark. I loved this look because she kept it simple, and to me that's what makes a good red carpet look. Her hair was tied back in a low chignon that exposed her natural beauty and looked truly effortless," says Marc Mena, who just so happened to be responsible for the hair.
"Lupita instantly became a style icon during her first award season and this look is a great example of why. Her makeup really caught my eye because she usually keeps it minimal. Instead she took a risk with bright blue shadow across the lid, a sheer pink gloss on the lips, and the perfect amount of highlight across her cheek bones. This makeup was the perfect addition to her fitted teal gown by Gucci," says beauty and style vlogger Allie Marie Evans.
"Lupita Nyong'o's look always captivates my eyes. Her turquoise dress with floral embroidered straps was something new from her past looks. She added a hint of turquoise to her eyes, light pink lips and left her skin fresh and dewy skin to top the look," says makeup artist Karen Sarahi Gonzalez.
"Diane looked stunning in a yellow Jason Wu gown. I loved this look on her because not only was the dress perfectly fitted, but the styling took the look to another level. This shade of yellow is really hard to pull off but it went beautifully with her skin tone and her makeup look," says Allie Marie Evans.
