Make no Bones about it, Snoop's latest starring movie role is a real dog. After appearances in Training Day, Baby Boy and Half Baked, the busted pot-loving hip-hop star plays Jimmy Bones, a benevolent '70s ghetto don murdered by his closest friends and a dirty cop (The Pretender's Michael T. Weiss, who appears in a bad fat suit).
When one of his betrayers' broods buys the brownstone where the Dogg was put down years before, the squatting, superpissed soul comes back to raise his vengeful pimp hand. With B-movie special effects and D-grade dialogue, the Doggfather stages his comeback tour: bad beheadings, too many maggots and not enough funny one-liners. Instead of helping you get your spook on this Halloween season, Bones is just a fake bloody mess.
