The Housekeeper

If you're over the whole summertime popcorn-flick thing, this lightweight French tale is maid to order. Broken-hearted and perpetually grumpy, Jean-Pierre Bacri has just split up with his wife and is in need of a gentle soul to clean up his life--and his messy apartment. Enter Émilie Dequenne, a woman 30 years younger, who manages to make a connection that goes way beyond washing and drying the laundry.
The May-December romance blossoms when they finally move in together, and although the ending gets a bit serious, it doesn't distract from the film's breezy, easygoing nature. Cleaning your place was never this much fun.
