And you thought there were no great comedies left this summer. Intended as a thriller, The Glass House is a nonstop riot, with dialogue so ludicrous the only logical reaction is stunned laughter. When teenager Leelee Sobieski and little bro Trevor Morgan lose their parents in a car accident, they are taken in by family friends Diane Lane and Stellan Skarsgard.
But there's some sick craziness going on in this parent trap--including drug abuse, loan sharks and a pervy new dad. Or is it all in Leelee's head? The story unravels into a clichéd, psycho chase flick that's so absurd, you'll wonder how the actors got through their lines without guffawing. Throw all the stones you want; this Glass House doesn't have a leg to stand on.
