Take a peek in this comic Closet, and you'll find Francois Pignon's shabby shoes, a couple of dweeby suits and one very big secret. Played by talented French thesp Daniel Auteuil, Pignon is a bean counter at a condom factory who's so boring that he's afraid he'll be fired for his lack of...fire. So, he and his neighbor cook up a plan: He'll go gay.
Well, at least he pretends that he's gay in order to stay interesting and employed. Despite the potential for tastelessness, this is a sweet, almost sitcom-like French comedy from director Francis Veber, whose The Dinner Game was the funniest movie of last year. As in Dinner, a solid touching tale lies between the laughs. Come out, enjoy the show.
