Amy Winehouse plays Coachella...we’ll believe it when we see it

We were shocked to see yesterday that Amy Winehouse was picked as one of the headliners for this year's Coachella music festival. We're guessing the notorious no-show babe is gonna come down with a case of Lindsay Lohan-status "exhaustion," or just not have an excuse at all.

Sure, the Grammy winner could make her comeback and wow us, which we'd love, but in case that fantasy doesn't come to fruition, there are two music legends who are rumored to make perf replacements for Wino:

Bruce Springsteen has an incredibly convenient break from his world tour on Coachella weekend. The Boss is set to play L.A. April 15, kicking off a weeklong hiatus, so he's certainly in the 'hood to swing by Indio for a surprise set. We contacted Bruce's reps to see if he's in talks or interested to play the music fest, but are still waiting for word back.

But what about another B.S.?

Before the lineup was listed, there were (and still are) major rumblings that Britney Spears might make an appearance at the desert shindig. Brit also has an L.A. concert on April 16 and 17, with Saturday night wide open for any surprise guest appearances before she continues the SoCal leg of her tour. One train-wreck pop singer for another sounds about right, and at least Brit's got it more together than Winehouse does at this point.

Plus, it would be so like Brit-Brit to pull a Coachella stunt just like her idol Madonna did back in '06. After all, we know how much Britters likes shadowing Madge's every move.
