They say the key to a man's heart is through his stomach, and Maksim Chmerkovskiy appears to be no exception.
As the Dancing With the Stars pro prepares to welcome his first child with Peta Murgatroyd, the Hollywood couple decided to have a little fun in the kitchen.
Thanks to a few Instagram posts, fans were able to witness Peta "cooking for the first time."
"This is a very rare occurrence and you have to see it," Maks joked on Instagram Tuesday afternoon. "Here we go."
With little to no help, the expectant mom created an artichoke salad and creamy lemon chicken that easily received two thumbs up from her man.
"This is amazing. I love you," Maks shared on Instagram."The chicken was amazing. Babe did a great job. Thank you baby."
There was one thing that caught the dad-to-be's attention. When Peta jumped into the kitchen, things got a little bit messy. Perhaps the right word for it is the "aftermath."
"This is like a war zone. Things have happened here that I don't even want to talk about," he joked online as his fiancé laughed out loud. "All things considered, it was a great success and we're probably going to do it again sometime when? She said never. Never say never."
As Peta continues her third trimester, the mom-to-be remains eager to meet her baby boy. And yes, she's more than grateful to have Maks around.
"To my best friend, with whom I get to spend the rest of my life with," she recently wrote on Instagram. "You are everything that I've always dreamed of and I can't wait for the next 50 years where I can fall asleep beside you, and fall in love all over again."
