Stranger Things is getting an even bigger dose of 1980s nostalgia with new cast additions. E! News has confirmed Sean Astin, of Goonies and Lord of the Rings fame, has joined the cast opposite Aliens and Mad About You star Paul Reiser. Rounding out the new additions is Danish actress Linnea Berthelsen.

Berthelsen will play Roman, a damaged young woman with connections to Hawkins and the research lab that started all the events of season one. Astin is set to play Bob Newby, a high school classmate of Joyce (Winona Ryder) and Hopper (David Harbour). He still lives in Hawkins and manages the RadioShack. Reiser will play Dr. Owens, a staffer at the Department of Energy who has been tasked with cleaning up the Stranger Things season one mess.

EW first reported the new cast additions.

The three newbies join the already announced new cast members Sadie Sink and Dacre Montgomery. Sink will play Max, a tough tomboy-ish girl with a complicated history and Montgomery was cast as Billy, Max's edgy and confident step-brother with a violent streak.

Stranger Things season two is now in production and the show marked the occasion with the above tweet. And yes, as you can see, Millie Bobby Brown is back as Eleven. Viewers last saw her taking the Demogorgon back to the Upside Down.

Season two picks up roughly a year after the events of season one. The principal cast is returning for the nine new episodes. Netflix revealed the episode titles already, so have fun guessing what they mean. No premiere date aside from the year, 2017, was given.

Stranger Things season one is now streaming on Netflix.
