MTV is getting ready to tell the true story of siete strangers picked to live in a casa...

The Real World, the granddaddy of all reality shows, will launch its 22nd season at the epicenter of spring break—it was only a matter of time, really—Cancun, Mexico.

Production has already begun in the coed party destination and the show will debut later this year after the current season, set in Brooklyn, concludes.

"Cancun is a good one to do after Brooklyn, which was a more gritty environment," Real World producer and co-creator Jonathan Murray told the Hollywood Reporter.

And as for the cast's requisite entry into the workforce, they're apparently sticking with what they know, working as guides for visiting college students at the spring-break-centric website StudentCity.com.

"They're going to help give people a safe and fun vacation," Murray said, with emphasis, apparently, a little more on "fun."

"They also might have to bail somebody out of a Mexican jail, stuff like that."

The setting of the next season may sound familiar to veteran reality buffs: Real World producers shot The Real Cancun, an unscripted, R-rated film, back in 2003, though it was not connected to the series.
