NetflixLuke Cage is the newest superhero on the TV block and the Netflix series is seriously giving the other comic book-based shows a run for their money when it comes to being tops.
From showunner Cheo Hodari Coker, Luke Cage stars The Good Wife's Mike Colter as Luke Cage, a man with super-strength and indestructible skin. He made his debut in Marvel's Jessica Jones and then high-tailed it up to Harlem for his own series also starring Theo Rossi, Alfre Woodard, Simone Missick, Mahershala Ali and Rosario Dawson.
The first season of Luke Cage is full of strong performances, notably from Woodard who owns every single scene she's in, and twists galore…but it wasn't quite a perfect show. The story dragged at times, noticeably after the seventh episode, in the attempts to stretch everything to fill the 13-episode order.
