Icons collided on Watch What Happens Live when Absolutely Fabulous stars Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley channeled The Real Housewives of New York City's Sonja Morgan and Bethenny Frankel for a little Clubhouse Playhouse. Icons.

The scene was from The Real Housewives of New York City season seven when Sonja wouldn't stop going on and on about working in public relations and having brands, etc. Bethenny wasn't having it. Saunders, who plays Edina Monsoon, a publicist, in Absolutely Fabulous, took on the role of Sonja. Lumley, Patsy Stone in AbFab, took on Bethenny. And they went there, complete with American accents. Sort of.

"No, it was pathetic," Lumley later said. "I'm really ashamed."

Absolutely Fabulous, which Saunders writes, premiered in 1992 and ran of and on for the last 20 years. The last batch of episodes aired in 2012, celebrating the show's 20th anniversary. The ladies hit the big screen on Friday, July 22 with the first ever AbFab movie. In it, Patsy and Edina go on the run after they believe Edina accidentally killed Kate Moss. AbFab developed a cult following, specifically with gay men and women across the globe. Host Andy Cohen asked for their opinion why his "tribesman" and women latched onto the show.

"Because it's glamorous and silly and funny and bit daring but naughty," Lumley said.

"It's about people who don't care and they don't live by normal standards and they don't give a s--t about normal things, you know," Saunders said.

"I also love that you said in an interview once that you thought that gay people love the show so much because they're really hard to offend," Cohen said.

"Yes. You know, that's one of the great things. That is absolutely true. In a world that gets so easy to offend everybody now, I thank God you're the future," Saunders said.

Watch What Happens Live airs Sunday-Thursday, 11 p.m. on Bravo.

(E! and Bravo are both part of the NBCUniversal family.)
