With incredibly talented comediennes like Amy Schumer, Tina Fey, Kristen Wiig and so many more taking on comedic film roles, we've seen a major growth in comedies centered on a female lead.
From Bridesmaids to Pitch Perfect, Sisters to Mean Girls, films surrounding a clan of hilarious women have become massively popular, especially during a time when the discussion of feminism is so prominent and so important in Hollywood. They often garner so much attention that people continue to push for a sequel.
With that being said, many of these women have seen several roles in a myriad of comedies—a list we are so excited to see continue growing.
