Baggage sucks.

No, we're not talking about the emotional kind—we are alluding to our everyday, physical essentials. You know—our wallets, phones and any makeup for on-the-go touch-ups. Call us lazy, call us dramatic—but we hate carrying them!

Sometimes, we just want to brunch without people bumping into our bag hanging on the chair. We don't want shoulder pain from the maxi-size carry-all we schlep to work and school every day. We definitely despise forgetting that itty-bitty clutch—or worse, getting our cross-bodies pick-pocketed—during a night on the town.

But enough of the tirade. Our solution? Pockets…really big ones. Here's how to dress if you really don't like carrying a bag.

Office Appropriate

Instead of the pencil skirt, opt for a comfortable-yet-professional look featuring lots of compartments. Culottes are where it's at. Because the silhouette is so billowy, it almost always ensure deep, spacious pockets in its design. This iteration from Joseph just happens to have has massive back pockets to transport your essentials. If you doubt us, opt for sleek iPad case to double up as your daily carry-all between meetings.

Weekend Style

So you need to jump from brunch to shopping to a picnic in the park—those tiny pockets on your favorite pair of skinnies aren't going to cut it. It's time to rely on overalls, in which you can typically store your essentials in the front, back and even on the chest area. There are oftentimes different sized pockets for all your needs. Worried about your things falling out? Opt for pockets that clasp closed with buttons or zippers. Then there's always the modern-day fanny pack, a.k.a. a fashion-forward belt with a small compartment.

Topshop Moto Super Rip Dungaree Shorts, $80; H&M Off-the-shoulder Blouse, $17.99; Superga 2790 ACOTW, $59.98-$80; Clare V. Petit Fannypack, $215; Quay Australia Cherry Bomb 60mm Sunglasses, $55

Night on the Town

In times like these, look sleek in a chic-yet-sexy jumpsuit. Just like culottes, they are often made with big pockets to naturally cinch the waist in, creating a flattering effect. Not so sure this will be enough storage space? Invest in a phone case that doubles as a wallet, with compartments to hold your ID, cash and credit cards. You may forget your wallet, but you won't ever lose your phone, especially if you're too busy taking selfies.
